Port Triggering??? - SpookyBoy - Oct 10, 2018

So, could you use port triggering for a RAT? It basically opens the port when it is needed, so it is not open 24/7.

The reason I'm asking is because xfinity removed the port forwarding option on their gateway, you can only do that with their new app. And in order to actually get the app to work you need to have a certain gateway, which I don't have.

How would the port know when to open or the RAT when to make contact with the server? Unless you could set up the port to open at certain times and the RAT to make contact at certain times.

I think the only way this would work is to have a timed schedule

If you can't PF using your ISP/router, just use a VPN which offers open ports.

He can port forward, he just doesn't want the port open all the time.

He stated he doesn't have the gateway for the app to work.

Crusty boi is right.

Find a VPN that supports port forwarding. That’s the easiest solution to your issue. If you need recommendations on which to get, feel free to contact me.

If you purchase a cheap offshore vps, I have a copy paste guide to turn into your own VPN and port forward posted .. if you can manage. If not, I recommend a VPN .. Business will know some good providers.
