Do you have a favorite word/phrase of the month? - natkitker - Oct 29, 2018 Every month or so I have a new "favorite word". For example last month it was something like "Awesomeania!!". This month I have been saying "what the flip!!" Do you have a new favorite word or phrase that you use every month? RE: Do you have a favorite word/phrase of the month? - Walt Disney™ - Oct 29, 2018 I usually come up with a quote to live by every month. When I hear or think of something I'll write it down in my notes. This month for me was "Disrupt the daily schedule". Tough to do with my job, but I made it happen. RE: Do you have a favorite word/phrase of the month? - Dariustresor - Oct 29, 2018 My favorite word this month is " Awesomo" because I saw an episode of south park about it RE: Do you have a favorite word/phrase of the month? - DOG - Oct 29, 2018 No, I don't have any ... I'm never changing the way I speak lol. RE: Do you have a favorite word/phrase of the month? - o1nk - Oct 29, 2018 I love the vocabulary of the English language. What I don't like is the exaggeration of it's use. Americans (generalising) use the word 'awesome' a lot that generally has a meaning of "that's pretty good". What is the true meaning of the word awesome? Standing on the edge of the Grand Canyon. That is awesome. That iconic picture of the Earth, taken from the moon. That is awesome. In America, Awesome Hot Dogs are on sale in cans. Also, the fashionable phrase is for something to be 'super something' You're not excited, you're 'super excited' You're not drunk, you're 'super drunk' Super is, again, reserved for something that is exactly that. Super. Way above even excellent. Superman. He is not an excellent man, a la Stephen Hawking or Einstein. He is absolutely the greatest being that ever graced the earth. That's why he is 'super' So let me say I am super excited by this awesome thread RE: Do you have a favorite word/phrase of the month? - Zettabit - Oct 29, 2018 My favorite phrase is always 'what the fuck'. RE: Do you have a favorite word/phrase of the month? - Capativity1 - Oct 29, 2018 "Fuck" - that works pretty well in almost any situation. Fuck.
