Crypto Currency price checker in Python - Zomblerz - Nov 5, 2018 Hello users of Hack Forums, I have just recently created a Crypto Currency price checker in Python. It currently uses the Coin Market Cap API but I am available to use whatever would work the best. I wanted to look around for some feedback on it and figured that you guys would be honest and very intelligent on python. Here is the github link https://github.com/zomblerz/Bitcoin_Price_Checker Let me know what you think! RE: Crypto Currency price checker in Python - PoP-Hacker - Nov 21, 2018 will done Bro very success program (: RE: Crypto Currency price checker in Python - Infamia - Nov 21, 2018 i suggest using software like qtdesigner to design forms, and importing the `.ui` file per the `PyQt5.uic.loadUiType`, creating the corresponding class and having the UI files stored in a separate folder (like ui/). it makes for a cleaner code-interface and a, yet, still operational GUI. although resources are a bit weird. besides that the `lookup_all_coins.py` file is horribly messy and seems like there's quite an abundance of violations of DRY (don't repeat yourself). not really interested in reading the code itself to suggest any necessary reductions, but from a skim over how the code looks, i think there is that to note. RE: Crypto Currency price checker in Python - Lycosidae024 - Dec 1, 2018 I have created a few GUIs in python recently. I grew fond of wxformbuilder. Was quick as easy to design and implement code. I did a project recently that displayed the current bitcoin price in the GUI. I'll see if I can dig up the script. From what i can remember, It did not take much code to pull the current price. RE: Crypto Currency price checker in Python - ftrounce - Dec 1, 2018 You should include more comments/documentation. You'll thank yourself a few months later when you look back on your code. |
