Award Market - Xerotic - Nov 9, 2018

Yesterday we released a new feature that allows you to change your award order. Today we are giving you even more control over your profile by introducing the Award Market. The Award Market is a platform that allows members to sell their awards to other members automatically for Bytes.

There are a couple of important pages that you should be aware of:

- This is the main page where you can view all the awards that are currently available for sale.

- Here you are able to manage your awards that are able to be sold in the award market.

Not every award on HF is able to be sold in the Award Market. Existing (currently obtainable) donation awards are excluded from the award market. Retired existing awards, however, are able to be put up for sale. Beyond these, there are a couple of other awards that are exempt. Here is a list of awards unable to be sold in the award market:

Sticky Man

Emerald Donator
Litecoinage
DarkDash
Ethereist
Gift
Ace of Spades
BTCash
Rich Bitch
Legalize It
Benefactor
Bitcoinage
Master Donator
Grand Amethyst
Diamond of r00t
Dicey
Businessman
Royalty
Testified
24k

Every member is allowed to BUY awards on the award market but you must either be a r00t or Ub3r member to SELL you award.

If you would like to sell your award to a specific member you will see an optional field where you can supply their username. By doing this you are reserving the award sale for that specific member and no other user will be able to fill the order.

When the award is transferred the award reason is changed to: "SELLER_USERNAME bestows the AWARD_NAME award upon you on DATE_HERE."

The original award grant date must be at least 6 months old before it can be put on the signature market. After 6 months the award can be freely transferred with no time limitation.

Award sale minimum Byte amount is 1,000 Bytes and the maximum is 500,000 Bytes.

There is a 20% Byte commission applied to every sale that goes back to HF.

You can find the Award Market linked in the MarketCP navbar category "Markets" listed as "Award Market".

This is such a great idea.
I really hope people start selling their awards so I can buy them.

Why not give L33t's the option to sell their awards?

Really happy this was added, I think it's going to bring good things and a lot more meaning to bytes.

I have a few questions Xerotic..

If I sell my 24k award - Can I get it again when I hit 24k posts again.
If I sell my clovers - Can I obtain them again if I'm lucky?

What happens to the description if I buy/sell an award?

Any reason you can't sell all buyable awards? I can see this as a good way for people to exchange Bytes.
