Wish to learn pascal for viruses - iTHX - Nov 12, 2018 Going to put this in bullet point format for fast exchange of information +have programming knowledge +want to learn pascal/delphi for retro game dev and viruses -needs to be free RE: Wish to learn pascal for viruses - tcsh - Nov 12, 2018 FreePascal / Lazarus. those IDEs are free. There is also a community edition from Embarcadero of their Rad Studio you can try out. The rest involves googling a lot, a lot of info out there. RE: Wish to learn pascal for viruses - connectover - Nov 15, 2018 There was a time on HF, maybe 6 years ago, when everybody ripped the same copy of Delphi 7. It was like a cute little secret, because we aren't a warez forum. But yeah dude just use Lazarus. I had a buddy buy the full RAD studio 5 years ago, barely touched the shit. He got into C, C++ and was making a lot more functional applications that he could actually sell. Also, C/C++ is now included in the rad studio and currently the Rad IDE is one of most rapid development ide's out there. You can literally bang out applications a couple of times faster than other languages. 🤝 RE: Wish to learn pascal for viruses - connectover - Nov 15, 2018 (Nov 15, 2018 07:21 AM)tcsh Wrote: things have changed a lot. ONLY 2012 kids will remember that Delphi had its own section and it was cool. S/o to DdoserX RE: Wish to learn pascal for viruses - tcsh - Nov 15, 2018 (Nov 15, 2018 07:23 AM)connectover Wrote: WOW, i'm happy to see delphi developers out here. S/o to DdoserX Sadly it is pretty much dead today. Everyone thinks free IDEs = awesome language :-) Delphi has come a long way but its still used as a niche area mainly because of the IDE price. Apparently Embarcadero is slowly trying to change that with the release of the community edition, I'm guessing they plan to improve that a lot in the coming years. As far as development goes for paid customers, it's beyond a lot of popular languages these days. RE: Wish to learn pascal for viruses - Delanata - Dec 2, 2018 Delphi is pretty much dead. Might wanna check your brain, that seems dead as well 🤭 RE: Wish to learn pascal for viruses - Unknown - Dec 3, 2018 (Dec 2, 2018 09:03 PM)tcsh Wrote: For 12 year old kids like yourself, it is yes. Rip, this is the only reason I come to the programming section anymore. Quality roasting |
