It costs nothing to sign up, and you'll be eligible to participate in this year free-fly event.
From Nov 23 through Dec 1 you’ll have the chance to try out every flyable ship and operable vehicle in the game for free.

If you’re interested in learning more about Star Citizen I would recommend you checking out the Website and referring to the bottom links I’ll provide, also let's take a moment to clarify just what the developer, Cloud Imperium Games (CIG), is working on.
There are two components to the project. Star Citizen is the MMO component, a first-person experience in a simulated universe. Squadron 42 is the single-player component, a story-driven campaign where you enlist as a UEE Navy combat pilot. Our current understanding is you will be given the option of having your Squadron 42 character, who musters out of the Navy at the conclusion of the campaign, carry over into the Star Citizen persistent universe, taking with them the reputation and relationships they've built with NPC entities.

I would have loved to have checked this out, if it wasn't for the fact that it's $45 no matter the package you choose and $20 extra for Squadron 42.

You should be able to create your account without having to actually pledge to a ship. Try creating you're account with this link and let me know if that works.

I mean is that not what forums are meant to be? Contributing opinions? I feel any opinion is warranted honestly. The new content this game has issued is pay-to-win spaceships. I have not seen them put out any real work on this game, trust I've been hyped. I had faith maybe just maybe one game would deliver. Nope they raised $100m+ and drag the Communtity on. So no disrespect but I don't give a fuck if I offend you. And don't give me 3.5 will be different, or 3.3 or whatever update is "big". First day of FPS people were hacking, no Anti really?
