Laptop making strange beeping sound - Ī¤elevision - Nov 22, 2018
So over the course of 10 minutes about 4 times I've heard a strange sound coming from my laptop. It's a quick electronic beep sound that sounds for less than one second, like half a second.
It happened about a few minutes between each beep. And has stopped since, but has happened before, and might happen again in the future.
I have my headphones plugged in and nothing came phone the headphones. It came from the laptop, and it wasn't the speakers either.
It sounded like it came from underneath the laptop keypad.
Do you think it was my CPU or something? I don't know what it could be but I'm curious to as what that sound was?

When did the beeps happen? When the computer is booting up or once you were in Windows? Since most computers have speakers built onto the motherboard (so in this case it was probably from your motherboard that is probably under your keyboard). If they were beeps when the computer was turning on, it is used to indicate there it some sort of problem with your system. Kind of like a check engine light in car.

I think the fbi is trying to use it so they can locate the beep to you and arrest you

The beeps happened while I was using the computer.
Last night, I heard the beep about 4 times within 10 minutes. It stopped however, and I haven't heard it beep since last night.
That was the first time it ever beeped so many times. I heard the beep in the past, maybe once every few months. But never 4 times within 10 minutes. (a few minutes spaced in between each "beep")
And that's interesting to know, I didn't know the motherboard has a speaker built into it. That's a possibility, but my PC is running just fine, so I have no clue what it could be warning me about.

It's probably your SSD or something making the noise
On my macbook it did the same thing
