i have kali linux installed on my laptop as the main operating system.
i was wondering if i could run vmware or virtual box on it so i could complete CTF's
iv tried installing virtualbox on kali but i always run into problems can some one help me?

Honestly, you should either dual boot Kali or use it through a VM on Windows. Kali as a host system unwise.
