Clickable awards? - AeroBlue - Nov 27, 2018

I think it would be cool to have some awards that link to things to be clickable (for example the youtube award or post awards etc.) whenever I want to go to the actual link its a pain

I think several years ago Omniscient did not want to do this because having too many links on a page could potentially hurt SEO.

Ahh okay that's interesting, figured there was some reason behind it

Don't forget that you can hover over them to see some information about it

Yea you can hover over to see the link but you have to go to their profile awards section or inspect element to copy the link lol

please dont get hurt from all those clicks :))

All pages have the Awards link in footer. From there you can click any award page. So you are just 2 clicks away.

I remember there was an HF userscript that did this (at least for the lucky clovers)

RE: Clickable awards? - Almonds - Nov 27, 2018

Perhaps not a bad idea, but I'm fine with copy and pasting imo.

You have to be really lazy haha.
Even if HF add this, I'll still copy past, I'm too used to.

Its not hard to click on your name and look at your rewards and then copy and paste. its like 5 seconds of your time.

yea but my question is, why 2 clicks to copy and paste a link (which actually takes more clicks to open a new tab etc.) when you could just click it once?

I understand your question.

However, 1 click versus 2 clicks?
I don't see an issue with a few extra clicks unless (I'll say it) one is that lazy to push a mouse button a few more times?
Is this what the would has come too?
Too much work to click a few links just to view an award reason.
Laziness at it's best.

We want to force you to buy a new mouse earlier than needed 'cos your left click will have to endure substantial wear and tear when you do two clicks instead of one.
