Imposter on Discord - Business - Dec 4, 2018
I am posting this to notify the community that two accounts have been brought to my attention. They are posing as me to initiate currency exchanges and Bytes purchases. I am not sure what HF user is linked to this, but I am mobile right now and unable to investigate further until later tonight.

I do all of my deals ONSITE using CONTRACTS. No exceptions. If you get a message from "me" about a deal anywhere but on HF, report it to me. Thanks for hearing me out. A dead giveaway is the "B" in the discord name... it does not match my username.

What I wanna know is how does the imposter get the ppl he is trying to scam added on discord... lol like if I randomly had someone claiming to be a reputable member add me on discord then ask for some sort of deal, I would be beyond sketched.

It seems as if they are taking advantage of newer members who do not know how HF fully operates.

A lot of these people post their discord stating for interested parties to contact them. So yeah, generally newer members who don't realize that this sort of thing is going to lead to scam attempts.

I thought the rule was for servers, but maybe it's become broader or I misunderstood it initially.
Still doesn't stop a lot of users from posting/pming it though. I get people asking me to add them on Discord very frequently.

I've had like 3 different imposters on discord within the last week. One guy fell for it by posting his discord publically. Idk why people dont verify via PM's or something on site lol.

yeah i report all psots i see a discord tag in and they get removed.
pms are a different story but an imposter can't get your discord tag if you pm it to the real person haha
