The federal prison allows inmates to o purchase sandisk sportsclip mp3 players that has some type of block on it for as long as they are incarcerated. Once they are released, the company that owns the players charge them money to unlock the player for outside use
I need to know how to unlock it so I can put music on it

It doesn't...
It uses a locked down version of the software in which many features are restricted, Inmates spend about a buck fifty on each track some inmates end up spending like $3k on songs whilst incarcerated as such when they are released they can send off their mp3 player to Sandisk with their inmate number and release documents and like a $25 fee then they will load on the normal deinstitutionalised version and the now released inmate will be able to download the songs off their mp3 and load them on their phones etc etc...

There is money to be made if someone can figure a way to bypass the security firmware on the SanDisk Sports clip mp3 player using a cell phone.

SOLVED!!!! Get an "on the go" capable phone. Get an OTG adapter. Get an app from wherever you like called OTG Disk Explorer Pro. The one with a purple usb thumb drive for an icon. It $2.99 on the play store but Google the apk. Plug in the player. Select mp3 files a few at a time. Push the download button. Wait for it to finish and say charging b4 you disconnect. Hold center button to do reset on device. Player will still revalidate no problem. FTF from FPC ______!
P.S. Don't forget to remove album art using a tag editor app or it will show up on the screen. Anything you download can NOT be removed using this app. Don't transfer folders just mp3 files. If your player crashes you can still use the scan function at Trulincs. It usually fixes it. Remember you asked the question on a public forum and I answered so now its free for everyone. Enjoy.

Well done bro, very nice of u. If anybody forgot to remove album arts. U can still remove them and use the same files to replace the ones u did not. It will removes the old files. Right now Im trying to find the right app which allow u to delete songs on that god damn MP3. And anyone know how to crack this MP3 by upgrade firmware? I ve tried many different ways but none work. I heard someone said he about to able to crack it and also put the name on like the BOP one

Did it work for you? Like to try it too. I want to be able to use memory card but still shows the bop name so if CO asks there be no issues

how do i put music on after it fail the first time. i see a download folder, then it want load again. next queation has anyone figured out how to delete music after its been added or if i re-add the music after i forgot to remove cover art, will it double the music or replace the files? help me.out

They got my jack! Lost 41 days gct and six months store phone and visits plus a $500 fine. Oh well you gotta pay to play. Hope yet all enjoying the music.
Some mp3s will only allow download one time. Been told that scanning at the trulinks two days in a row without hooking it up to a phone will fix it sometimes. Can't delete files yet but you can remove album art if you download the same music file sans artwork a second time. Mp3s mp4s flac audio all work great. The camp I'm at don't sell the SanDisk anymore so if your joint still has them... Buy them up.

If you have the older version 1.07 then you need an app called "my playlist creator" to make an m3u file & it works with most all music formats. Put the music on your sdcard and open app, set the root directory to mint/external, then select music hit termite next page hit generate give write permission and you good. I'm in ca prison done thousands of songs and made a lot of money
