Several OS Being Listed, Even If They Don't Exist? [Dual Boot] - AbsolutelySus - Dec 31, 2018 When you Dual Boot an OS you generally get a selection of your installed operating systems on your computer. I currently have Windows 7 & Windows 10 installed. But when I boot I can see my very old version of Windows 7 still there in the options (Totalling 3 Operating Systems instead of 2). Is there a reason this is happening? I am going to be fully wiping one of my hard-drives soon and I need to fix this so I can straight boot to the one OS I will have installed instead of a random broken one that literally doesn't exist. If you need me to elaborate more please write below. I am seriously struggling with this. RE: Several OS Being Listed, Even If They Don't Exist? [Dual Boot] - webdev77 - Jan 1, 2019 The entry still exists as part of the boot config. You can delete it by booting to the repair command prompt and using the BCDEdit command. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/manufacture/desktop/bcdedit-command-line-options |
