I think forced to shutdown for legal reasons or pressures and the creator believed in helping us all with releasing it. Shouts Armada I believe.
Actually apparently they just stopped working on it. Again I wonder if from pressure they felt, or pressure to backdoor it or something.

It was Sorzus's idea, not armada I think. Armada stopped selling it when he got banned then nick name started proxy selling. Then sorzus decided to quit I think. You'd have to ask him yourself because I don't know the whole story.

Actually sorzuz has already told nick the project was discontinued before he proxy sold
