Lottery for Lost Bytes - TheLocker - Feb 7, 2019
There are 100s of users banned with thousands of bytes in their accounts. And it's growing every single day. There's no way those closed accounts are going to use those bytes. And since, bytes is a growing currency on HF, would it be good idea to make a lottery system for those LOST bytes weekly or may be auction it? Auctioning doesn't really seems great in my honest opinion, but may some of you will point it out better than me. So, go ahead and make some suggestions.

I doubt Omniscient would impliment somethint like this.
Imo it’s better to keep those lost bytes out of the circuit.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it has been suggested. Better wait for an official response.

I highly doubt that any bytes on closed and banned accounts will be recirculated unless there was a dispute that involved the bytes with another user..
But I don't actually know.

When banks closes accounts, they pretty much take the money on the closed accounts. And bytes is growing into a currency. So, why not? I know Omni may not implement this feature. And I clearly don't expect an explanation from him. But would you guys be kind enough to explain as why it is not going to happen. And I am asking as businessman.

It's a healthy way of getting rid of bytes, aka sustaining a good economy in the system.

Closed accounts have their Bytes set to 0 already.
