Except the Buzzcocks are a British punk rock band.............

If you like Punk rock then try out the stranglers.

It's just the title. Sonic Youth and Pixies aren't uk indie either and i love both of them. Besides a lot of indie artists cite the buzzcocks.
Would you call New Order indie either? Low Life is definitely an indie album but the group as a whole could be described as new wave. But there are a lot of "indie" songs in much of their discography. It's just complicated semantics

Thanks for the suggestion.
I like Walk On and Golden Brown

Nah mate, ask any self-professed Buzzcocks fan if they are indie and they will think you're American or have no clue...... Not trying to be offensive, just it is what it is. It's almost like saying the sex pistols are indie lol

You should also check out sham 69

If you haven't seen it, I suggest watching the film B Movie: Lust and Sound in West Berlin

Didn't call them indie.
I don't listen to much punk really. Only Dead Kennedys
More of an indie/alternative/post punk/new wave fan in respect to the late 70s - 80s
Jesus and Mary Chain
The Smiths
The Cure
The Cranberries
New Order
Pixies

That's just my favs from that time period. I listen to so much more music xD
Here's a punk band (not traditional) I'm not really into anarchy but I like this song:
