Many reasons. One of the main is that many people use their phone as an extra security measure. Things like authenticator apps, some people will only use mobile wallets, or only used hardware wallets, so that population of people who rely on security of their device and use a mobile wallet, well...
There are many reasons people do it, not saying this justifies or that this is moral. Definitely not the type of stuff I agree with doing.

There are so many reasons. People rat to steal all sorts of information and people are always on their phones. People use their phones for all kinds of personal things even more then PCs nowadays.

you could bind it with another apk file
using Metasploit or if the rat you using support it
and then you could just spread it as a modded application 😏 people love moded apks
or maybe you could spread it as an app you created it that solve an issue in android that is an idea
there is a lot of ways to spread an apk all you need is be creative
