Web-based licensing system - help - welldonesteak - Mar 14, 2019

Hey guys,

I've been looking for a web-based licensing system for a while.  I have already a domain and now I want to create a database for the keys. I saw other companies doing it with a link like: testsite.com/api/validate. I would just put the link in my application and the applications checks then if the entered key is similar to the database one. What would you suggest?
Thanks,
J

you could always try our Licensing system is already been tested by many, no need to setup anything.
we have already implemented everything possible for a licensor needs, best practices too

It's really easy to come up with something strong and free :-)

You need a server and a database, you already have them. You need to access your server and create a php script that will communicate the data sent by the c# client to the mysql database.

You can go with both post and get request. Here is a small tutorial : http://www.smart-arab.com/2013/05/c-php-communication/

What i concluded from his post he wants to try to do something his own,not using any other commercial solution. And i agree with Aristocles that this can be achieved easily and for free,in this section we are here to help as much as we can.

well thats why i said he can try it for free , as i worked hard to make full licensing system, if he need to make a license system he will end up learning to do a proper API service and alot of protections to protect his service and the client side. time is money !

Go for 961API, i used them for my c# project back in the days

A fairly honest answer,i agree in that case.Respect!

You better code it in your own.
Licensing system is not that hard if you know how to code the keygen.
I have coded some simple ones on my own.

I will suggest some things here: Checking keys online else don't allow activation, checking ids if you want to lock the license in one machine (using the hard drive is not a solution better catch something like cpu id or motherboard sn or something similar that you are sure it will not get changed)
