Mice
We currently have 24 Mongolian Gerbils racing.
Races are between four mice at a time, which allows the mice enough time to eat, sleep and rest in between races, ensuring they have the chance of becoming the next Micerace champion.
The mice are extremely well looked after and are fed the best food and kept in new, clean cages.

The Track

The track is 1,5 meters long and has been custom built for micerace.com.


Cameras

There are cameras in the starting gate of each lane that enables you to keep a watchful eye on your favourite mouse and its competitors.
The main race camera gives you a birds-eye view of the entire racetrack.
Our leaderboard allows you to view photo’s, stats and other info on all the mice.




Distinguishing between the Mice

The mice are chipped with RFID chips by professional veterinarians.
By scanning the RFID chips, we are able to identify each individual mouse.
Before every race, the mice are scanned to ensure that the correct mice are placed in the correct lanes.



Tracking the Mice

There are IR sensors at the end of every lane. Once a mouse crosses the finish line the sensors are triggered, and the winner is determined.



Betting


We currently only offer Pool Betting, but we will soon be implementing fixed odds and combo betting.
Currently the minimum betting limit is 0.00150000 satoshi’s (Roughly $5) and the maximum betting limit is 0.00500000(Roughly 20$).


Pool Betting
Every player bets on their preferred mouse and the bets go into a pool.
Once the 5% rake is removed the remaining pot is proportionally split between the players who predicted the winner.[/b]


Example

• Player A and Player B each place 100 on Mouse 1. Player C places 100 on Mouse 2. Player D and Player E each place 100 on Mouse 3.
  


• The pot is 500.
  


• Mouse 1 wins.
  


• Player A and Player B each get to keep their original 100 and they get to equally share the remainder of the pot minus the 5% rake.
  


• Remainder of the pot is 300. After the rake(5%) is subtracted 285 is left.
  


• Because Player A and Player B both bet 100 (equal amounts) the 285 is equally divided by 2.
  


• Player A and Player B each make a profit of 142.50.
  

Operating Hours
To start off with we will be operating from 10:00 to 20:00 CET (GMT +1). We intend on scaling this to 24/7 within the next month.
