Can anyone tell me why and how is this working for PHP ..

I thought that you cannot see the contents of PHP file except when it is supposed to load a webpage and this guy is using this to check everything ..

Where can I see more info on what can I do with this php:// line and how it works?

php filter container commonly can be used for LFI.
