B-Rating Question - FCC - Mar 28, 2019

So I currently have 2 negative reports on my b-rating but these were made by a scammer. Their account has been closed and everything. I was wondering if there was anyway those reports could be removed from my profile since they are invalid.

Kinda sucks but when members do their due diligence prior to doing a deal with you they will see that guy was closed and his claims were BS....

Just keep on doing business as usual and after a couple of deals it wont really matter.

The system works the way it is.

If B-Ratings were to start being moderated it would be like Omni/Factor8 dealing with ppl complaining about negative reps all over again.

Yeah I get it, I just figured it would be kinda nice to maybe automatically make all ratings neutral for accounts that have been closed. Whether it's popularity or b-rating. Since usually they were closed for a good reason anyways. But it is what it is.

That would be cool, like when the account is closed all the negative ratings go away as well

An account being closed does not necessarily equate to a bad B-rating being invalid. In doing future deals you should make it clear to potential buyers / sellers the nature of your two reds and have clear evidence ready to back up your claims that they're scam related, and try and build up more positive ratings if the two negative ones become problematic.

The same reason staff don't get involved in scam reports, ub3r no longer requires an application and all the rest of it is because it takes far too long for staff to manually review every single user's account and try and make a reasonable decision that doesn't set a bad precedent. While it would be nice to get them removed it isn't practical and it's an inherent feature of the system, one that IMO works in the better interests of everyone here.

When dealing with someone, I typically look at their b-ratings, however it's quite obvious to see they are closed (and make my own assumptions if they are then valid).

I don't think people just deal off the number, might be wrong however.

Exactly this. You should mention it for every deal from now on.
