High-Tech Cheating: The Prometric Experience - Another555 - Apr 2, 2019
Have you ever had to take a professional certification test (e.g. Bar exam, Medical board exams, Chartered Financial Analyst exams, GMAT)?
Then chances are you've had to take it in a god-awful Prometric test center! If you aren't aware, Prometric centers are unbelievably cheat-proof. The same security procedures apply no matter which professional exam you are taking, security policies such as:
Constant video surveillance from multiple angles
Metal-detector screening
Reflective mirrored windows (so people can't see into the test room)
Random test proctor walk-throughs
And many others known + unknown
With such incredible measures taken to prevent cheating, I would be amazed if anyone could cheat at all. In many states, simply taking a picture of a professional exam is a Felony.
NOTICE: THIS IS NOT AN ATTEMPT TO CIRCUMVENT ANTI-CHEATING MEASURES ON ANY EXAMS!!! THE RISK OF RUNING EVERYTHING YOU'VE WORKED FOR AND PREVENTING YOURSELF FROM EVER BECOMING A PROFESSIONAL IS NOT WORTH IT!!!
But it is fun to devise ways to penetrate the system, right? So, purely hypothetically, how would you cheat in this test center from hell?

I don't condone people seeking professional careers to have achieved them by cheating.. what a shame.

The only thing I've heard of was a person who had a camera built into their clothes so they could stream the exam to someone else, and a speaker in their ear. The speaker was so small it could only chime 1 time for answer A, 2 times for answer B, ect.
But I heard about this because they got caught LOL
