Help Setting up Jabber/Pidgin - Walther - Apr 3, 2019 I need to set up a Jabber account which I have found is slightly more complicated than just installing a chat client. I have downloaded and installed Pidgen along with OTR but am stuck on setting up the client. I am not sure what to use for "Protocol" but assume its XMPP. If someone would help me out maybe over TeamViewer ill through ya $5 BTC RE: Help Setting up Jabber/Pidgin - THC - Apr 3, 2019 Protocol will be xmpp, OMEMO is better then OTR imo. https://conversations.im/omemo/ https://compliance.conversations.im/ RE: Help Setting up Jabber/Pidgin - Walther - Apr 3, 2019 I will check out OMEMO. I am not sure what config settings to input for xmpp. Its asking for a Domain and some other info. Also not sure if I have to config the Authentication tab? I am not sure what to do with the link you provided but assume its to test the settings? RE: Help Setting up Jabber/Pidgin - Hackbase - Apr 3, 2019 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8NQhN7UJ2l8 You can use any server for example @hacker.im or @xmpp.jp https://list.jabber.at RE: Help Setting up Jabber/Pidgin - Walther - Apr 3, 2019 Thank you for the help. Figured it out. RE: Help Setting up Jabber/Pidgin - THC - Apr 3, 2019 (Apr 3, 2019 03:01 AM)Walther Wrote: I will check out OMEMO. Its a list of xmpp servers; the websites checks if the server complies with certain standards and looks at if it has stuff like OMEMO encryption. |
