I get extremely depressed seeing other successful people - xiovv - Apr 16, 2019
I do engineering. When I see someone playing games or fucking around for fun on youtube and earning at minimum 6 figures to a couple million $, I get so.. so much depressed. I regret the path I chose in my fucking life. They have fun and enjoy life with unlimited amount of money and women by doing easy stuff. I struggle daily to pay bills by doing hard stuff at extreme levels. This is what pisses me off. I am trying to remain calm while writing this but i am angry to the point i can not explain. Seeing those people makes me feel like a failure. "Go to school get good grades and go to college its the only way to succeed in life" -my mom. I can not explain the amount of rage and regret I feel rn.

Dog, it's ok, those youtubers always have to act for the camera, and in 15 years when you get a family and your kids ask you what you do for a living while they're in there 5 bed room house you designed.... YOURE GONNA SAY THAT IM A CEO AT A PETROLEUM ENGINEERING FACTORY THATS MAKING 7 FIGURES A YEAR.

I don't understand your logic. You are confusing correlation with causation.
You going to college doesn't interfere with your chances of becoming a YouTube celebrity.
On the other hand, YouTube celebrities you speak about didn't become successful because they don't have a college degree.
What others are doing has no relation at all with what you are doing.
In short, regardless of you having a degree or not, the YouTubers would still be successful.
Focus on yourself.

I doubt that anyone in this world makes money just by having fun. The entertainment industry is very competitive. They may make it look easy and effortless, but if it was really effortless how come most of them fail?

All good dude, so many people are the same way. I work my ass off as a labourer (Tiler) for $25AUD an hour... so I’m on $52000 a year, casual aswell so I only average 8 days out of 10 week days.. so $45K?
Bills and bills just stack on.. But if you stick to something and always try expand and improve you will eventually be racking in the money.. and plus being an engineer is 100000 times more interesting then a YouTuber that fakes emotions 24/7 lmao

You should continue engineering and work hard on that field. Youtubers are people hanging on a thread, just think if the internet goes away, they won't have any money to feed themselves. Unlike you, if you become an engineer, you can still work without the internet.
