External Storage Media Removal - Yac1ne - Apr 21, 2019 I've been struggling a lot with some of my flash drives , and my external hard drive , the problem is that i can't safely remove them sometimes , i don't know why , i always check for locked-on processes on the drives , never found any , since i lost a bunch of precious data recently , i've never unplugged the drives unless safely , which sometimes requires me to restart my computer to do so , and of course that's annoying , i was using Usb Safely Remove software , altough i did uninstall it , the problem persisted , is there any way to ID processes locked-on a drive ? i really appreciate your help . RE: External Storage Media Removal - Breeze26509 - Apr 21, 2019 Are you copying files from the USB drives? I find that it doesn't want to disconnect safely if something from the drive is in the clipboard, so I copy a random file on the desktop, and then it disconnects fine. Absolutely not , just playing some movies from the drive . |
