Deep Dot Web site seized, Admins arrested. - Lindros - May 7, 2019 Deep Dot Web was a news site that also posted onion links. So apparently it is not illegal to post links to illegal websites but they were actually receiving bitcoin to advertise these sites. So basically they were running an illegal affiliate marketing campaign for Darknet marketplaces and other illegal sites. https://techcrunch.com/2019/05/07/deep-dot-web-arrests/ RE: Deep Dot Web site seized, Admins arrested. - James Burnham - May 7, 2019 That is sad. All their articles were about arrests, basically discouraging illegal activities. But they got millions in affiliate commissions from darknet markets so basically they are considered co-workers. Yeah I really don't know how I feel about this. I don't feel like they should be punished too severely. Whether or not they received bitcoins they were aloud to post the links, just not for money. It's like.... You are aloud to have sex, just not for money. I think it is kind of dumb. These are dirty money, they will probably seize their bank accounts and let them go. If I remember correctly though, they didn't have referral links to every market just to a few of them. So maybe there is something more going on. True obviously in larger federal raids/investigations it takes time for all the details to come into light. Especially after they seize all of their shit and start digging around. EDIT: Also I think this is related to the Wall Street Market investigation.
