I need help to code a bot that can buy items off shopify websites fast - Freshieking - Jun 2, 2019

I want to create a bot which can buy certain limited items such as sneakers very fast but I don't know where to start in the coding side.
A website that uses Shopify and a password page is:
DSM Eflash (too low level to post links :( )

I don't know where to start with the coding but I know what it needs to do:
Find the item
select the size
Add to cart
Bypass the queue
Enter all necessary info such as CC details, address, shipping prices
and finally, check out.

If anyone knows how to do this I would really appreciate some help. :) <3

I've heard of some people front-ending the site (going the way a manual user would) or going thru the backend (skipping everything) but I don't know if the backend is still doable.

I haven't yet started my project but it uses similar design. Basically you need to use web scraping. I think you'll have better luck using Selenium because I've heard some websites with JS content may not display properly if it does not think you are a client in a web browser. Selenium is supposed to get around this because it emulates a web browser and can simulate mouse presses.

Google "Automate the boring stuff with python" and click on chapter 11: web scraping. Read through it.

no point in shopify botting as most sites have anti bot protection now just go out and buy dashe or nsb

you can literally get dashe for $90 renewal much more better and would be more efficient that spending countless hours on something that may not work but your choice and hope you do well on it

As Rubchinskiy has said, most sites have protection against bots. I made a simple bot following a tutorial for selenium and was able to create a bot that goes to the CEX UK website, searches thinkpad, filters to highest price first, filters stock check, filters to windows laptops and then scrolls to the bottom of the page. On a website like gumtree, you'll get an error saying you've been detected as a bot and solving the captcha will do nothing but give you another to solve. I've never used shopify but this is probably what Rubchinskiy is talking about.

It took me only half an hour to get the above script working with no previous knowledge of web scraping. That said, selenium is very easy. It doesn't sound like it's worthwhile unless there's no anti spam/bot protection.

exactly I bot on shopify all the time and recently they've been doing some nasty stuff to stop bots which has been working and the devs are having issues countering it so save the hassle and dont cos itll be a big headache
