HF Editor Color - Xerotic - Jun 14, 2019
We have been considering altering the editor design to a darker theme to match the rest of the forum. Which of the two editor themes do you prefer?

I feel the light theme is more bearable to see, unless you make the text white or bright for the darker theme.

Personally comfortable with the existing light version, and I've never really felt that it needed to be changed to one that matches the website theme.

I don't mind dark themes, but I hate all of the darkness on HF. The contrast ratio for text on this site is awful in general.
White theme.

The light them allows you to clearly see where is the text zone, however, I mainly speak for me, I spend lot of time on my computer with lights turned off, and I have put all of my settings in dark (explorer, browsers, youtube, office, etc ...).
Screen lights are knowns to be bad for eyes, so I would recommend Dark Theme (I also think that is more elegant)

Dark mode is the best but having a switch is also good for people who have difficulty with the contrast

I’m liking the dark theme for sure. It contrast better with HF’s color and won’t be a Boom!!! To our eyes when editing.

Dark theme looks good but I'm worried if it affects the readability of what we are writing.
Being able to switch from light to dark anytime is great.

I just use the extension Dark Reader it's a brilliant extension
