My GPU just fried, getting a new PC. How does this look? - Ravioli - Jun 20, 2019 The GPU in my gaming laptop of 4+ years just fried. The laptop still works, however I'm most likely going to just use it for college related activities. I've been researching for a few hours on Amazon for a new desktop (no I don't feel like building it, sorry boys) and I've come across THIS It seems very affordable for the specs. The only downsides would be that, yeah, it is an i5... but I don't think any bottlenecks could happen with a 9400F. What do you guys think? Also, I'm most likely going to buy an extra 8GB of RAM. There's tons of positive reviews as well. I was reading them for a good 20 minutes and the consensus is that it's a great PC. I'm heavily considering it, what do you think? RE: My GPU just fried, getting a new PC. How does this look? - webdev77 - Jun 20, 2019 It's a reasonably good value. Obviously I would still advocate for building yourself, but since that's not an option here, I would say go with your gut. If the reviews seem good to you, then you will likely be quite happy with it. I can say you definitely would be getting a way better value than anything from Dell/HP/Asus/etc. on this desktop. RE: My GPU just fried, getting a new PC. How does this look? - The Bastard - Jun 20, 2019 Its not a bad pick but i found something better for only $150 more. You get the same things except now its an upgraded CPU and you get the 16gb of ram. Since i cant post links yet search this on amazon CyberpowerPC Gamer Xtreme VR GXiVR8560A Gaming PC (Intel i7-9700F 3.0GHz, 16GB DDR4, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 6GB, 120GB SSD, 1TB HDD, WiFi & Win 10) Black RE: My GPU just fried, getting a new PC. People say the support is pretty helpful with this brand. (Jun 20, 2019 10:09 PM)The Bastard Wrote: Its not a bad pick but i found something better for only $150 more.Oh, that's amazing! Depending on how much I want to spend when I buy it I will definitely consider coughing up that extra money. Thank you for sharing, bookmarked it with the other one. Yeah i only recommended it since you said you were going to buy another 8gb of ram so i figured kill two birds with one stone and get a better cpu haha. Your welcome man! 🤝 RE: My GPU just fried, getting a new PC. How does this look? - orbitalmelody - Jun 22, 2019 I know you said you dont WANT to build one, but to put it in perspective, you can build a similar pc WITH a better gpu such as a 2060 or even a 2070 and possibly be cheaper than what that pc is on amazon, my past experience with cyberpower was not pleasant at all, so i just resulted in me building one myself. |
