Einstein once said "the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results".
If I am working in the coding field for years and keep on failing and failing and failing expecting to succeed, am I supposed to continue failing or change my field? Constant failing, seeing no monetary gain, is killing me right now... it feels like i'm doing something that produces nothing and this goes to oblivion...

Personally I always thought that "the definition of insanity" bullshit was so stupid. just because Einstein said that once doesn't mean that's the definition of insanity. I would argue that the definition of stupidity is believing that's the definition of insanity.

I completely disagree, the definition is perfect, maybe one day you might understand what it truly means, it took me some time to believe it, I thought it was stupid too, but as you go through life's motions, there isn't a definition that comes close to that description!

It applies in some cases but it shouldnt be used in every circumstance.
Example: If your boyfriend/girlfriend cheats on you you can't expect him/her not to cheat again because they probably will. Hence why "Don't repeat the same thing over & over again expecting it to change"
