i386 error? Virtual Box - Ki11Mach - Jul 4, 2019
Hello,
I recently installed virtual box and am trying to run a Kali VM. However, I continually receive a i386 error. Has anyone had experience with this error and if so, how did you solve?

PS, I have a 64 bit cpu but the program is only showing 32 bit?

What's the exact error you're being shown?

I apologize, I messed up my original post. The exact error message is "This kernal requires an x86- CPU, but only detected an i686 CPU. Unable to boot - please use a kernal appropriate for your CPU".

I did a simple Google search on the exact error and a bunch of YouTube videos popped up. Try something like that or check this video out.

You need to enable Intel VT-x or AMD-V in your BIOS depending on what CPU you have.

Oh believe me, I did the same simple search and none of these actually helped. This is why I took the time to ask on the forum.
