HF Chess Game - 123 - Jul 20, 2019
Hey guys, I hope everyone of you is doing well. I have this suggestion for HF. I will leave this for Omni to decide whether this is better for HF or not.
So the deal is to embed Chess on HF where members can play online. A bytes system can be used as a reward for a certain game just like Blackjack. The only difference here would be the power to loose/win bytes is in your hand and not just depends on your luck.
The House cut ( x%) will definitely be placed for each game ie. Certain bytes will be put back into system.
Reasons to implement this suggestion :
1. It will increase average browsing time per member on HF.
2. The Bytes will always remain in check as House gets x% per game.
3. New members will have something to hook upto until they realise what this forum offers.
4. Nice fun feature to pass time on HF when you're feeling bored.
Reasons not to implement this suggestion :
1. It may tempers Site loading time or server load.
2. Certain members can use engines to predict best move against their opponent.
3. This might be difficult to embed on HF.
If it gets implemented, FUTURE SCOPES :
1. Weekly/Monthly/Yearly Tournament on HF which can be streamed on Twitch/YouTube. Yes, commentary will be done by certain HF member.
2. Leaderboard can be put in place in certain section on HF displaying the result.
3. Any member can challenge each other for a game. Both have to agree upon betting the number of Bytes.
Please post below what you think about this. Is it viable to have this feature on HF ? If yes, any suggestions you would like to give. If No, why do you think so ?
I know this is a Hacking Forum but its just another nice feature to have which won't hurt anyone.

It's been a hot minute since I've genuinely liked an idea but for some odd reason I think this would be amazing, it would also be somewhat like a childhood game as I played it in primary school when it was raining outside and we weren't allowed out. Hope this gets some thought.

Dude I love chess (even though I suck at it), I'm sure there are ways to implement something like lichess.org on HF. Amazing idea, this would be pretty fun if it happened and I'm sure it would expand the amount of visitors to HF

We've considered adding additional member games but stuff like chess is tough specifically for your negative reason #2: "Certain members can use engines to predict best move against their opponent. "
People will do that. Guaranteed 100% and they will make the experience shit for everyone else. So any game we do incorporate would be best to be a primary luck-based game.

It would provide entertainment as well as publicity to the site for sure having the games streamed.
Also it would give a slight surge in activity because of the people playing for fun and for bytes.
Overall I like it.

I'm sure there are certain anti-engine detector present online. If it seems member has used engines to play his game. The game can be cancelled by Help Bot and bytes would be returned back to users keeping House Cut.
It would aware a member not to play again with that user. I know it's hard to detect whether he is using engines to predict but if that problem is solved, it would be a fun feature on HF.

I'd love to see something like this. But like you and Xerotic said, there's too many members who would just use engines and ruin it all.
Too much of scrubs to really play the game. HMU if you ever want to play online somewhere. Been awhile but I can still play. 🤝

With chess if you did player vs player (like gambling for bytes) and limited it to short and fast games (1 minute to 5 minute, no increment), it lowers chances of cheating a lot.
On that subject if anyone fancies some 1 minute chess on Lichess hit me up 👍

To be honest, we could be here all day writing out games we would love to see using the sites currency system as it would be such a fun way to interact with loads of members, but it does suck knowing that the downfall you'd get people cheating on 90% of the games that would be made.. It's an amazing idea though.

Yup. The only thing which could hinder the implementation of such system.
I wish there was a way to prevent cheating.

I agree, would make it a lot harder to come up with an anti cheat system that people would always find away around.
