Which programming languages are most important to learn to be a hacker? - craigOwnsYou - Aug 27, 2019
I want to be a well rounded coder and hacker. How many languages and which ones are a good goal for a decent hacker? Here’s my goal as a hacker:
I want to specialize in web hacking, database hacking, social engineering, and browser hacking (reverse engineering). I want to also be proficient in WiFi/network hacking, operating system exploitation, reverse engineering operating systems and software, server exploitation, and maybe know how to hack phones and mobile apps too.
I’m only talking about the ones to specialize in and be fluent in; primary languages.

Depends are you planning on doing web applications C may not be the best thing to go and learn right. Why not give us more information so we can suggest languages to your particular niche?

Python, perl and ruby are all good for automating tedious tasks.

Web:javascript/php/SQL/XML/Java (this translates into android if you want to do IOS learn Objective C)
RE/Exploitation: Assembly/C/Python (Or Perl common to see these in exploit development for fast results) (Maybe CPP and C#)
I suggest you know BASH and PowerShell this will help during the post exploitation and ruby to create Metasploit modules.
