Layer 4 vs Layer 7 DDOS attacks - CollateralR6S - Aug 28, 2019 I know the difference between the two attacks, I was just wondering how to use some of the layer 7 attacks, it asks for a Form Path(/login.php) and a Form Parameter(Login), please help! RE: Layer 4 vs Layer 7 DDOS attacks - tux1 - Aug 29, 2019 Layer 7 works at the application level, so the part of the website you see. Most layer7 attacks will work by using http get/post requests. So if I understand your question; you need to input the page you want to attack e.g. Search.php and then the post parameter e.g. "Search=". Then the attack works by submitting data using this method and the server processes this many times and causes a DDoS. Hope this helps! |
