I'm not sure that's always the case, I can't imagine in this day and age that they can prevent you from getting internet access..

Maybe wait until 5g comes out, then use hotspot from your phone and you can get several hundred megabits.

I live in a rental, and upgraded from copper to the dreaded FTTN that NBN in Australia has rolled out.
But there were no obstacles for me.

Just rent a place with internet, check for DSL, cable, or fiber optic.

It all depends on your owner, sometimes they can be some retards that don't want to change anything around the house. In my case, they let me add new internet (change the infrastructure), they let me paint the walls, whatever I want as long as it's something normal.
Don't rent a place if you see that the owner is some psycho, simple as that. And about getting internet, you can take it on a contract or without a contract, I'm using it without contract so it's a little bit more expensive, but I can stop using it/paying for it whenever I want.

but if you are using it without contract he can send some huge tribemen in the night with copy of keys to bangbang you , beat you, steal your stuff, etc, or in fact he can just change your door keys when youre not there and pretend you didnt live there andyou lose all stuff!

I don't understand what's your point here and what's your concern. That can happen anywhere anytime, maybe just don't rent then and save yourself from these problems. I never heard something like that happened to anyone close to me but I know it happens sometimes.
Before you rent a place, you'll be able to visit it and talk to the owner, it's your duty to see whether the owner is normal or not, if he/she is a retard, just say you're not interested and never come back.

Whatever place you rent should have internet already installed or at least the options for whatever providers service that address and you can choose to use their service or not. Would make no sense for a property to just not have internet unless you live in the middle of nowhere or something.
personally fiber internet is a requirement for me when I look for a house or apartment
