Gaming Monitor - need help - Time - Sep 25, 2019

Hello,

Thank-you for your time. As the title says, I need some help in deciding which monitor would best be suited for my situation.

I am using my Xbox One X (SSD) to game PubG. (I will be using XIM Apex - mouse and keyboard).
In these circumstances, which monitor would be best?

My budget is around $5-700 CAD.

Am I better off getting a 4k monitor or a 1440p monitor?

Thanks

Go with a 1440p 144hz monitor. The 4k will mess with your fps

Thanks. Do you recommend BenQ and should I stay away from curved monitors?

Never heard of BenQ and never tried a curved monitor, don't really know anyone with one either.

I'd rec an Acer Predator or MSI

You won’t benefit much from a monitor over 60hz, why don’t you just save your money and build a pc?

I have an awesome rig, however my friends IRL only play on the console.

Ah gotcha.

I got an asus vg278q it’s pretty nice, g-sync compatible too, I’d recommend it

I've narrowed it down to these two monitors: Can anyone provide insight?
Thanks
