Hi,
I'm trying to configure my mining botnet, so I will use XMRig proxy to not be banned.
My question is if I set it on my Windows 7 VM is secure not use a VPN or is preferable to use one. Is even better a VPS?

Look into whonix. It is a heavily modified Debian os with built-in tor.
