Is Windows Defender enough? - itzgame - Nov 2, 2019 Do I need to install an antivirus software for Win 10? Or is it enough with Win 10 in-built one? Thanks 🎉 RE: Is Windows Defender enough? - Dotexe - Nov 2, 2019 It really depends. Are you the type of person who's willing to download a steam key generator ? Yea, especially cracking password software. Are all those ones fake? RE: Is Windows Defender enough? - 1337GAMER - Nov 2, 2019 I just have Malwarebytes. That's all I need. RE: Is Windows Defender enough? - Goku - Nov 2, 2019 First off use ublock origin extension to block pop-ups and ads which can give you adware. I would use Malwarebytes since they got better detection imho. Lately, I only download movies when needed and haven't had any detection for the last couple of months. So sometimes I just turn off all antivirus on my pc because it does use resources. RE: Is Windows Defender enough? - Goku - Nov 2, 2019 (Nov 2, 2019 04:22 PM)itzgame Wrote: Does MBAM uses a lot of memory usage? It uses around 700mb ram while scanning. In idle I would refer to 1337GAMER's post It isn't much. But antiviruses tend to use CPU more than other resources RE: Is Windows Defender enough? - itzgame - Nov 2, 2019 (Nov 2, 2019 04:46 PM)Goku Wrote: It uses around 700mb ram while scanning. RE: Is Windows Defender enough? - itzgame - Nov 2, 2019 It just uses about 65 MB RAM usage. But I recommend to run MWB at least once because it tends to detect more than Windows Defender RE: Is Windows Defender enough? - itzgame - Nov 2, 2019 (Nov 2, 2019 04:53 PM)Goku Wrote: But I recommend to run MWB at least once because it tends to detect more than Windows Defender I agree with you. If you're that type of person it might be best to start using virtual machines in the first place to protect yourself. I don't know why people find it necessary to run untrusted or unknown software on their machine and possibly compromise themselves but hey, all kinds of people in the world I suppose. You can build a brick wall around yourself in order to protect yourself from guns and bullets but if you're the one with the sledgehammer knocking the wall down yourself, I don't quite see the point of using an antivirus in the first place. Surely you must be aware of the fact that there's a thing called a crypter than can completely circumvent an AV's detection methodology and thus would render an AV essentially pointless until whatever malware it is, is actually detected. That's why I suggest using a virtual machine, because at the very least your main machine won't be infected but your virtual one will be. I would've given the same answer, but i felt like OP is just trolling |
