Just curious to hear your opinions. Like what you think is the point where your considered a actual hacker as opposed to a wannabe.

Basically, script kiddies just reproduce what they can watch on videos or read on websites/forums, without cares or knowledge about what they are doing and how does it work.
The hacker is the guy who have the basics >
- Network (TCP/IP - OSI model knowledge), routing, firewall, wireless networks, protocols, frame, packets, and so on.
- Linux/Windows's shell knowledge
- Security knowledge (algorithms, protocols, best practices)
- At least one programmation language (Python, C languages, Java, ...)
- At least one web language (HTML, PHP, Javascript, ...)
Between the first one and the second one there is on main point that makes the difference :
- motivation

90% of HF is script kiddies because we all look through the hacking section and look for PDF’s to get PM’ed to us haha.
I’m willing to bet majority of the users that post the tutorials for $20 don’t fully know the method they’re selling. But that’s just me.
I’m no hacker by any means lol.

A script kiddie uses other people's work.
A hacker could use other people's work, but could rearrange the code in complex ways, create his own work, and collaborates with other people to create new work.
