Interesting: Solving Rubiks Cubes [Blind][Feet] - DNA - Nov 5, 2019
Just came across this in my recommendations, very interesting.
I couldn't solve one, yet alone 48 or so while blindfolded...

I'll never understand how people can do this, I've seen it happen in a matter of seconds.
Blindfolded, behind the back, etc.

Looks to me as if they're permitted to set it up a specific way, so it's possible that his muscle memory has retained this information, similar to guitar players and chords

The videos I saw, a random person would randomize it for 'x' amount of seconds, the person solving the cube would then examine it for about 3 seconds, set it down, and then pick it back up and solve it to record his time.

There are amount of ways to solve a Rubik's cube, while I still have no clue how to properly solve one.

I checked the WCA website, they even have feet based competitions...

Damn bro that's some crazy shiz, imagine having the ability to feel colors lmao. No idea how this would be possible unless there was braille on each color so they can tell the difference through touch. Otherwise it MUST be a fixed strategy.

You're blindfolded for starters, there's 48 cubes or so. He came second with 3 failed cubes.
If you can do better, please show us all, otherwise show a little appreciation for the dude. It's probably all he's ever tried to achieve in life for all you know lol

Yea dude, I feel they figured it out once and remembered how to do it and so that's how they are able to set it up and do it like they do. Similar to piano or the frets of a guitar.
I could play the guitar blindfolded, because of muscle memory, but I've sold my guitar and moved on in life and now I bet if I tried play it again, I'll be ass asf

In the start he was allowed to adjust them before putting the blindfold on. It looked like he had a minute to do this before starting.

There are a finite number of combinations the rubik's cube initial conditionals could be... clearly the kid has been studying them for awhile.. it's not difficult if your entire life revolves around memorization
