My social experiment project - CH00k - Nov 12, 2019 I've registered on boards/forums/debating platform under 5 different names. Made 5 different stories, acted differently. One person was ignorant, other nice, other only agreed with others, other one disagreed with others and shared his opinion and the other argued with others but was very reputable etc etc I asked the same question(s) on all of those accounts by myself but under the different name and different time-span so they knew me as a different person, and who do you think got the must hateful and meaningless responses to his question. The person that has shared his opinion. Not bad opinions but simply he was hated just by his name already. Result of my project: Internet discussions are bullish and they are always responded and tied to your name. They are not objective! People always have and always will act differently online as a rule. That's why a lot of people love the anon aspect, it allows them to say things that would usually get them a slap. The main reason I avoid social media really. RE: My social experiment project - Veninu - Nov 12, 2019 I hope you know that multiple accounts are not allowed on this forum. RE: My social experiment project - Joel - Nov 13, 2019 And on every single account you're a nobody. Oh the searing, allover burn 🤣 RE: My social experiment project - Nachfolger - Nov 13, 2019 There's so much wrong with this little experiment, I can't even begin to explain. Each forum has a different environment, there's no way to do a control group, and you have formed no objective measurement of "most hateful and meaningless responses". Better luck next time. RE: My social experiment project - squin - Nov 13, 2019 Opinionated people always get the most hate. That’s a fact. If you surf with the crowd, you’re cool. If you stand out, even if you are being just assertive, the rest of the crowd will kick you to the curb. |
