"Google just fired 4 of my coworkers for daring to ask the question 'is Google helping separate families or cage children at the border?'" tweeted Amr Gaber, a Google software engineer who has previously organized protests of the company. "After finding openly accessible information, they alerted coworkers of the horrifying news. Yes. Google is working with [US Customs and Border Protection]."

For years Google had the tagline 'Don't be evil', but it seems like they're turning more and more evil these days.

No surprise they hold your information hell they even know your location even without your permission just from visiting their search engine by default it already gives them access to your location

Depends on your definition of evil, but I certainly feel they've taken a downturn these recent years. I've myself moved away from a lot of their services, as they generally treat devs like shit, have some of the worst support possible (where it counts), shut down services left and right (rip inbox), and I don't know about you but I don't trust them any more than I'd trust Facebook.
Successful for-profit companies all have the same #1 priority; the bottom line. If being "evil" enhances their bottom line then they'll obviously go that route, Google or not.
