The Broken Prison System - DNA - Nov 30, 2019 So I've been thinking about how messed up the Prison System actually is, but with all the money in the government, why hasn't an appropriate solution been provided? I.e. Portable Cells inside of a prison ground With all the drugs, violence and sexual assaults that occur in prison, wouldn't complete segregation be the most logical move? Now I'm no Engineer or Specialist in Resource Management, but it seems to be that a prison system that runs on complete segregation would not only be cost effective, but safer too. I understand prisoners require time of their cells, so why not say, have 240 Individual pods divided by 4 common rooms with 2½ hours a day or if only during daylight, maybe 180. It's not unachievable and it seems like a more cost effective and efficient way to run a broken and unsafe system. Thoughts? RE: The Broken Prison System - Bossk - Nov 30, 2019 You should state which government you are referring to, prisons are very different around the world. Gonna assume you are AMERICAN. And I don't see how your proposal would reduce costs, it still breaks down to how many inmates you have. RE: The Broken Prison System - SUI-3183372 - Nov 30, 2019 What do you mean by portable cells and pods. I was was wondering the same thing RE: The Broken Prison System - Sir - Nov 30, 2019 This guy is talking about isolation pods. That sounds like torture. RE: The Broken Prison System - Natas - Nov 30, 2019 Or guards in the cells 24/7 the guards do make some decent money I dont know why inmates are un attended in there cells. How it would reduce costs: Less medical staffing costs as prison violence increased the amount of medical staff and CO's. Less Building costs if you could make some sort of portable cell system, it would be modular rather than a permanent facility that would otherwise be closed down over time, maybe even fully abandoned in some cases due to being an outdated facility. There would also be less transaction of drugs as well as less violence which in translation means less legal fees if the prisoner wants to press charges for example. I'm sure there are many ways that could more efficient than the current system. (Nov 30, 2019 05:49 PM)Sir Wrote: This guy is talking about isolation pods. I'm sure there would be ways without making it completely isolated from the world RE: The Broken Prison System - Natas - Nov 30, 2019 Yeah a lot of prisons are really bad some are way way worse tho like inmates got guns in there cells you would have to look it up cause I dont remember where it was at but I seen one cell had like 200 people in a cell made for 20 99% of those people had TB. I agree tho I feel bad for addicts familys who think there going there and can change when its really hard to change in prison because drugs are still around there. Exactly, phones, guns, drugs.. there needs to be a massive overhaul of the system around the globe.. RE: The Broken Prison System - SIM-3257834 - Nov 30, 2019 Here's a better solution how about we shove all the criminals in Australia. RE: The Broken Prison System - Rsynced - Nov 30, 2019 I think we really have a broken society here in the US. Under our current system, Crime becomes a business that basically creates self sustainability of itself. RE: The Broken Prison System - Ravioli - Nov 30, 2019 People get comfortable with pre-existing perspectives and don't feel like there's need for change. RE: The Broken Prison System - Fugg - Nov 30, 2019 If you put a bunch of criminals together you gotta expect a lot of crime. RE: The Broken Prison System - Condasoft - Nov 30, 2019 I've always been a stern believer that criminals should have participate in national military service or other forms of community service to repay their debt to society. |
