can you elaborate a bit please?
you modify the rar in a way, so that the EXTRACT HERE shell command does not extract into current directory but instead extracts into the windows-autostart folder?
this work on any windows version?

Here's the funny thing:
The exploit works by extract a "hidden" file in an arbitrary directory of the victim.
you can even add dummy files that can be extracted normally.
but everytime the victim runs "extract", it writes the hidden payload to the startup folder!
and yes it works on all windows versions, the exploit is reliant on the WinRAR Version of the user.

Isn't this for old WinRAR non updated version ? It was public a while ago if I remember correctly.
Current WinRAR version is 5.70...

majority of people don't update their winrar versions, so that still works!

It's NOT new but for WinRAR 5.61 and earlier. It's likely public exploit for CVE-2018-20250.
Don't fool anybody and specify that.
WinRAR's current version is already 5.80
I wouldn't be surprised if this OP is the same guy who sells the same stuff there
