Mechanic scammed me? - Mr. Moe - Dec 23, 2019
I'm from Toronto, Canada.
I got my car battery replaced for 200$ CAD cash.
I got an engine light, but everything was working well (right after it was replaced).
A week later when I was able to scan the OBD scan, I saw it was the battery.
OBD Error Code: U01B0
(I even cleared the code twice.)
I returned, he said:
"if it works well then don't worry about it! Sometimes since the weather is cold, it messes the sensors up. Keep driving it and maybe it will go away by itself!"
I said okay and I left. I have a feeling it won't go away by itself. If a mechanic replaces my battery and gives me an engine light code, do I have the right to get it fixed for free? I have a strong feeling if I ever return, he's going to charge me a LOT...

Yeh, no way in hell I go to a mechanic this time of year. Too much incentive to get over on someone.

They had to, their tires were absolutely screwed up. When the steering wheel was at 90 degrees the tires were straight only then.
