Are law enforcement cameras an invasion of privacy? - eGod - Dec 25, 2019 As the title says, Are law enforcement cameras an invasion of privacy? 👹 What do you think? RE: Are law enforcement cameras an invasion of privacy? - rsx - Dec 25, 2019 I don't think so. It's like a cops 3rd eye in my opinion. Everything the camera sees and hears, the cop can also see and hear so I don't see it being invading when it's used in accordance with regular police work. Part of being in a public place is knowing people are allowed to film you. Law enforcement included. On the other side. Many many many people are abusing those cameras. It would take me five minutes finding cameras by using google dorks, it's way to easy and the security are often way to low. RE: Are law enforcement cameras an invasion of privacy? - DNA - Dec 25, 2019 Public domain, so it's legal, just like how you can take photograph. Here's what I don't understand: You're required to ask the permission of parents in the area where you are taking photo's if children get in the shot. But as long as a group of elites pay a bunch of idiots to run for office, they can record anyone and anything without consequence. Gotta love every single hypocritical standard the government creates RE: Are law enforcement cameras an invasion of privacy? - eGod - Dec 25, 2019 (Dec 25, 2019 01:50 PM)Jelly Wrote: Public domain, so it's legal, just like how you can take photograph. I think it should be a legal requirement that all police officers carry a camera that shoots 24/7. So sick & tired of people getting tazed and killed without reasons. The police are way to often abusing their power in my opinion. I am also happy we have police, so we don't have serial killers running around everywhere. RE: Are law enforcement cameras an invasion of privacy? - Rally the Bulls - Dec 25, 2019 Thought you meant bodycams at first lol.. RE: Are law enforcement cameras an invasion of privacy? - DrDoof - Dec 25, 2019 Yeah, since we can't know for sure how it's used. Sooner or later (if not already) western governments will follow China in building an AI network for profiling and tracking people. As I started reading more of the OP it became fairly apparent. I see nothing wrong with these cams, with the exception of the lack of security. Just look at - > https://www.insecam.org/ This is so much a lack of security. RE: Are law enforcement cameras an invasion of privacy? - ✔ Soufian ✔ - Dec 25, 2019 No. You wish they'd be there if you needed them. RE: Are law enforcement cameras an invasion of privacy? - Stork - Dec 25, 2019 Yeah idk I think that they are really useful and make crimes really hard to get away with. You basically cannot leave a city without being seen on a traffic cam and cops use them all the time. We also live in a welfare/police state and I would rather have the money that has been stolen from me go towards tangible items at the least LOL RE: Are law enforcement cameras an invasion of privacy? - Fish - Dec 25, 2019 (Dec 25, 2019 02:04 PM)Rally the Bulls Wrote: Thought you meant bodycams at first lol.. I believe that their good, gets everything on file for reference. Doesn’t really effect me, for the most part |
