Not sure why it was taken but it was a great feature because it allows people in marketplace to estimate when that person will be back awake/online and makes it easier to get in contact with that person

Sucks having to keep checking if the person is online and would make things alot smoother in the marketplace for many people.

It's not a huge deal but would be cool if Omni considered it 🤝

I liked the feature personally, but it was a potential privacy invasion which allowed you to easily identify which country the user lived in.

Provided there is some way to disable it, I wouldn't be against it coming back. :)

Besides that, users were able to adjust their time zone.... So if they cared about privacy... They wouldn't use their real one.

Not only this but I've also seen users from various forums use the time zone feature to their advantage as scammers.

What they'd do is set it to any time zone, perform a deal with someone and then they'd go quiet after the first person sends, then would change their time zone on their profile so it looks like they're naturally offline because whatever timezone they put is incredibly late.

In short, I've seen it used many times as a tool for scammers to avoid being seen online or to avoid having to respond to a user. While the response is inevitable, it's still something that I've seen done numerous times. Just to add it to the list of concern.

Nah, don't think so.
