It really comes down to how much time you expose yourself to any language you're trying to learn.

Learn the underlying concept of programming logic, and then learn the internals of the language.
Practice, practice, practice.

I'd recommend neither of those...try leetcode or project euler. Leetcode is more focused on data structures and algorithm problem solving while project euler is more mathematical in nature.
