Created a RAT in C++, but don't know how to make it recoverable. Suggestions? - skyturnrouge - Jan 2, 2020

I'm not quite sure what I need to know. I know C++ and networking well. But I don't know much about operating systems. This RAT is for Windows.

Can someone point me in the right direction? If I can just ensure that it starts up any time Windows logs back in / starts up, I think I've already handled the rest. I'll just have it periodically "call home" to some server.

Add it to startup. Write it to registry.

Didn't think it would be that simple. Thought maybe there would be some protections against that.

Thanks
