write what you are going to crack e.g it invloves web site, Wifi router or other thing? it depends on target, every different protocol needs relevant tool
e.g Wfuzz is web application password cracking tool

Leaked databases can provide good info considering ~60% of people use the same password on everything

I'd start with trying to find any alias and email the user has and run it through a leaked database search engine such as weleakinfo
If none of the passwords found from there work then move on to Bruteforce or Dictionary Attack
