Safe or "safe" - de_g3ntl3m4n - Jan 9, 2020 Hey whats up howdy hi hoo So i do not know, just had a little laugh, i had heard that android has been updating their systems on the phone and some people think that android isn't too safe. Do you think andriod is up to no good? Do you belive apples safer? At the same time while we are on the topic, what do you guys think about APPLes new IOS update. Feel like they've really improved, at the same time feel like some competion is coming up slowly hehehee But yeah just random thoughts whatcha say? RE: Safe or "safe" - Trip - Jan 9, 2020 I do prefer on iOS that I have a choice to use only location services while using the app and not always on. There hasn’t been a huge change in years. I prefer ios because of their software and their hardware. No matter the iPhone you can take it to AppleCare and they can change parts out if they break. My battery goes bad in two years no problem pay 60 bucks and walk out. Their devices are updated very regularly while other competition you can pay thousand dollars and get year and half of updates so... RE: Safe or "safe" - Aeowulf - Jan 9, 2020 Don't trust either one of them, so.... no. Not at all. RE: Safe or "safe" - SyrupSplashin - Jan 9, 2020 iOS is locked down and more secure. Android is quite open and as a product of that, less secure. RE: Safe or "safe" - Smexy - Jan 9, 2020 Nothing "smart" is safe, no iphone no smartphone or tv. I'd like to point out, that most of the parts in an Apple phone/device now days are made by Samsung. So nothing is really "exclusive" anymore. Android 10 does this now, it'll ask if you want location to be on all the time or only when the app is opened. Apple controls damn near everything that goes in and out of a stock iPhone. You're not doing much to modify it without a jailbreak. It's inconvenient for tinkerers as well as malicious individuals. It's much easier to attack an android than it is an iPhone. That's not to say it's impossible, but it's the harder of the two. Combine the easier choice with the fact it's much more prevalent globally and you have a more targetted and less secure phone. It's not as though I'm pro apple though. I'll take a lesser secure phone for the ability to mess with it more. I've only ever owned androids, fuck apple RE: Safe or "safe" - Nate - Jan 10, 2020 I have nothing to hide, and its easy to get your money back on fruadulent transactions from Banks, and Credit Card Companies. |
